What it's about
You can print your family calendar as a month plan, as an agenda (a list of events), or both – straight onto paper or as a PDF. You'll find the print page in the calendar via the ⋯ menu → “Print”.
Why it's here
Not everything happens on a screen. A month plan on the kitchen wall or an agenda for on the go helps when not everyone checks the app all the time. That's why printing is its own page you can set up at your own pace – separate from the export for other calendar apps.
How it works
At the top of the panel, you set what and how to print; below it, you see a preview straight away. Clicking “Print / PDF” opens the print dialogue – in the browser it's the browser's, in the app it's the iOS one (AirPrint) – there you choose the printer or “Save as PDF”.
The settings
- Month – the month you're printing (page back/forward or “Today”).
- Content – just the month overview, just the agenda, or both (the agenda then gets its own page after the month plan).
- Orientation – Portrait or Landscape. Landscape gives each day more room.
- Agenda detail – Compact (time + title) or Detailed (also shows who's assigned, location, home and resources).
- Colour – Colour with subtle blue accents, or Black & white (greyscale, saves ink).
- People – whose events make it onto the page. Default: everyone.
patchio remembers your last settings (orientation, content, level of detail, colour) on this device.
In practice
You print the coming month on Sunday, in colour and portrait, “with both” – the month plan goes on the fridge, and your partner takes the detailed agenda with them. For grandma you print just the agenda, compact and in black & white.
