From “what shall we cook?” to a full trolley.
On your phone, just type what you need at the bottom – patchio automatically sorts it into the right category and gives each item an icon so you find things faster in the shop. The shared list is always with you, works offline too, and sends the others an “I'm off to the shops” notification.
“What are we eating this week?” starts over every single day.
Fill in the week in the meal plan, and send the missing ingredients to the shopping list with one tap.
Out of loo roll, forgot the milk – and you only notice once you're home.
The pantry tracks what should be in the house: full, running low or out – one tap is enough. If you like, count exact stock, or give an item a restock rhythm like a subscribe-and-save order; on the due date it lands on the shopping list by itself, and ticking it off in the shop refills the pantry again. If an item carries a best-before date, patchio tells the household three days ahead – once, bundled, and switchable off.
Favourite recipes are scattered across bookmarks and scraps of paper.
Collect recipes in cookbooks – by URL straight from the web, or as a photo: snap a cookbook page and upload it instead of hunting for a URL. patchio resizes the image automatically, and it stays private within your household.
Retype the whole ingredients list from a photo, by hand?
If an admin has turned on the optional “AI categorisation, recipe photos & school letters” switch, patchio reads a whole recipe from pasted text, a photo or a PDF at the tap of a button – ingredients with amounts and the method – and the ingredients from a recipe photo. Everything arrives as a suggestion to check and edit, nothing is added automatically.
