Requested by so many of you, and built with particular care: the whole family's IDs and certificates in one protected place.
Passport, ID card, birth certificate and vaccination record live as a photo or PDF, sorted by person. patchio reminds you in good time before something expires – the reminder only names the document type, first name and date, never a number.
ID papers are the most sensitive thing a family stores digitally.
A person is responsible, not “management”: the default is “Only me”, a child's papers are only visible to their registered carers, and that circle is frozen when the document is stored. Being a household admin doesn't let you see them automatically.
The family tablet in the kitchen is open to everyone.
patchio asks for your password when you open the vault. A file is only handed out via a short-lived one-time ticket instead of a permanent link, and every retrieval lands in the access log.
For the form you only need the ID number – and still hunt for the photo every time.
You show the ID number with a click instead of opening the image. The reminder comes six months before expiry by default, the “Documents expiring” dashboard card shows what's due soon, on your phone you file papers straight from the camera, and you download everything for one person as a ZIP.
And how secure is it really?
To be honest: there's no end-to-end encryption, because with a passport a lost key would be the bigger harm. Files are stored encrypted, and you decide per document what you share.
