Timer presets
What it's about
Timer presets are your personal quick-start buttons in the timer module – your own durations, your own names, one tap.
Why it's here
The standard buttons (5/15/60 min) cover the basics. But every family has its own classics: eggs 7 min, Pomodoro 25 min, pizza dough proving 90 min, lasagne in the oven 45 min. Instead of typing a custom duration every time, you set up presets that fit exactly what you need.
How it works
In your profile, you'll find the “Timer presets” section. Set a name and a duration for each preset – as many as you like. They then show up as extra quick-start buttons in the timer widget on the dashboard, next to the standard options. Presets are per profile – what you create, only you see.
In practice
Set up “Soft-boiled eggs 7 min”, “Pomodoro 25 min” and “Pizza dough 90 min”. At Sunday breakfast, tap “Soft-boiled eggs” – timer runs, done.
Email when it's up
Mark a timer with “also by email when it's up”, and patchio sends the email server-side – reliably, even if no one has the app open right now. Sending can take up to about a minute after the timer ends. The beep and browser notice still arrive instantly, as long as the app is open.
