Trial & subscription
What it's about
Every new household starts with a 30-day free trial – every module, every feature, no payment details. After that, it's your call: keep paying or carry on reading.
Why it's here
patchio funds itself through the subscription, not through adverts or selling your data. The trial gives you enough time to try it out in your real everyday life before you decide.
How it works
If the trial runs out without a subscription, patchio switches to read-only mode: you can still see everything – calendar, tasks, shopping list, finances – but you can't change or add anything any more. Nothing gets lost. You can start a subscription any time under Profile → Membership & billing, even months later.
Three and fourteen days after the trial ends, the household's admins each get one email about it. The first one comes with a one-off offer: one extra week of trial, no payment details, one tap. You'll find the card for it on the subscription page, as long as the trial has ended and the extension hasn't been used yet – each household gets exactly one. While you're there, feel free to tell us what was still missing – a link on the card takes you straight to the feedback form.
You manage, cancel or change an existing subscription in the Stripe customer portal, reached via Profile → Membership & billing → Manage subscription.
In practice
Say you set up a household and the 30 days went by without booking – everyday life got in the way. Three days later, an email arrives with the card for the extra week. You use it, finish setting up the parenting schedule during the extra days, and then take out the yearly subscription without any rush.
