Recommend patchio
What it's about
Know a family patchio could help? Then recommend us: there's a free month for both of you. In your profile, under “Recommend patchio”, you'll find your personal referral link. Anyone who signs up through it gets 60 days free instead of 30. And once that family has paid its first invoice, we credit you a month.
Where to find your link
Profile → open “Recommend patchio”. There you'll find your link in the form patchio.de/von/YOURCODE, plus two buttons:
- Copy puts the link on your clipboard.
- Share opens your device's share sheet with a ready-made message. The text is editable there – you send it yourself; patchio never sends anything in your name.
Below that, the same code again, to read out or write down. It works without the link too: anyone downloading patchio through the App Store can enter it during setup, in the field “Got a referral code?”. The result is the same.
What you get – and what you don't
For every family that comes to patchio through your link or code and pays its first invoice, you get a thank-you month. Simply signing up isn't enough.
- Waiting period: after the first payment, we wait 14 days – that's how long the right of withdrawal runs. If nothing is refunded or charged back in that time, your month is due.
- With a subscription: we credit your household one month's price (€4.99). The credit is offset against your next invoice, on the annual plan too.
- Still on the trial: then we extend your trial by 30 days.
- Permanently free account: then there's no credit – your household doesn't get an invoice we could offset it against.
The month goes to the household in which you're an admin. If you're an admin in several households with a subscription, it goes to the oldest one. If you don't have such a household right now, we keep it for you for one year.
What you don't get: money, a payout or a commission. The credit can't be transferred to anyone else. If the other family's first payment is later refunded or charged back, the thank-you month lapses; a credit already granted is then reversed.
In your profile, you only see numbers: how many families found patchio through you, how many thank-you months have been credited and how many are still in the waiting period. You don't see names or dates – you never find out who the families are or when they paid. And the family you referred never sees your name.
What the other family gets
60 days free instead of 30. This applies once per household; if several codes are in play, the first one counts. Your own code doesn't count – it's meant for other families.
A referral code only counts for a person's very first household. Anyone who sets up a further household later doesn't redeem a new referral with it.
If you post the link publicly
Recommending patchio in a parents' chat, a club, or among friends needs no extra label. But if you put your link somewhere public – on a social network or a website – please mark the post as “Advertising”.
The small print
At most 20 referrals count per person per year, so there are at most 20 thank-you months a year. There's no entitlement to take part, and we exclude codes from the programme in case of misuse. All the detail is in the terms for the referral programme.
