Health: Combos & supply

Health: Combos & supply

If you take five or six supplements in the morning, you don't want to tick them off five times. A combo bundles supplements into a single tick – and the Supply page shows you, as a shelf of bottles, how much of everything is left and how long it will last.

Combos

  • Build a combo from your existing medicines – with its own dose per medicine (“2 capsules of Omega 3 in the morning combo”). If a medicine is still missing, add it directly in the editor.
  • A tap on Today ticks off everything; each ingredient is drawn down from the supply at its combo dose. Undo takes them all back.
  • A combo runs daily or only on certain weekdays – handy if you only take it on training days.
  • “Morning and evening”? Just create two combos.
  • Set medicines you only ever take via combos to the frequency Combos only – they then stop appearing on their own.
  • If a medicine also has its own plan at the same time, both count together as one dose, at the combo's amount – patchio flags this to you while you're putting the combo together.
  • As-needed medicines can't go into a combo: they'd otherwise appear twice on “Today”. If one should be part of it, switch it to “Combos only”.
  • The same medicine can't sit in two combos at the same time – one dose always belongs to exactly one combo. Give one of the two a different time.
  • Who the combo is for is set when you create it; you can only change it while it's empty.
  • Reminder: the combo reminds at its own time – but only as long as it's not yet decided. Decided means: for every ingredient, it's clear whether you took it or deliberately skipped it. A skipped medicine silences the reminder just as taking it does. You can pause it per combo; the per-medicine supply reminder is unaffected.
  • Archiving a medicine removes it from its combos automatically. Bring it back, and you add it in again.

Skipping individual medicines

Sometimes you want to take the combo but leave one thing out today – say, the Omega 3 that's just run out.

  • Tap the arrow to expand the combo. Each medicine has its own tick, all preselected.
  • For the ones you want to skip today, remove the tick and tap Tick off. The ticked ones are drawn down from the supply as usual, the skipped ones draw down nothing.
  • The combo still counts as done afterwards – the row then reads, say, “2 of 3 taken”, and the reminder for it stays quiet. A deliberately skipped medicine is a decision, not a slip.
  • The quick way stays available: a tap on the big tick takes the whole combo at once.
  • Undo everything via the big tick – that takes back both taken and skipped ingredients for the day, and the supply is credited back.
  • This only applies to today: tomorrow, everything's preselected again. And it only applies to medicines you can see – you can't deselect private ingredients of a shared combo (they're not yours).

Supply

  • Every medicine with supply tracking appears as a bottle: fill level, remaining amount and how long it will last (“lasts ~23 days · until ~09 Aug”).
  • Turning on supply tracking: medicines without tracking sit at the bottom of the Supply page, under “Without supply tracking” – tap “Track supply” to open the medicine and enter how much you have. If you don't have a medicine yet, add it first in the Medication tab.
  • With an optional pack size (set on the medicine, under Supply), the fill level becomes exact, and “+ pack” tops it up by exactly one pack with a tap. Without a pack size, patchio asks how much you're adding.
  • Correcting sets the amount you have as an absolute figure – e.g. after counting it again. Your restock threshold stays as it was.
  • Combos appear as their own shelf; the tightest ingredient is flagged as the bottleneck.

Adding restocks to the shopping list

  • When a medicine runs low or runs out, its bottle gets an Add to shopping list button. Tapping it opens a short confirmation step.
  • There, you adjust the name (pre-filled with the medicine's name), optionally pick a list – otherwise the entry lands in “No specific list”, as with quick add – and optionally give a quantity (“1 pack”).
  • Privacy: your supply is private, but the shopping list is visible to the whole family. That's exactly why this extra step exists: you see the name and can rename it before sharing it – if you'd rather nobody knew what it's for, write something neutral instead.
  • If a medicine is already open on the list, its bottle shows “on the shopping list” instead of the button (which takes you straight to Shopping) – so you don't end up with a duplicate entry. Tick off or delete the list entry, and the button comes back.
  • The entry doesn't refill your supply by itself: once you've bought it, tap “+ pack” on the bottle as usual.

Good to know

  • If it gets low (the threshold is reached), patchio notifies you once – same as with medicines. Topping up makes the reminder live again.
  • Visibility works as everywhere in the Health module: private, on purpose. Private ingredients of a shared combo appear to others only as “+1 more medicine”.
