Health: Routines
Routines are small habits you want to keep up regularly – drinking water every day, going for a run three times a week, vitamin D in the morning. You set them up once, then tick them off day by day. One place, one thumb, a few seconds.
What it's about
The Today tab shows what's due today. Tap the box and you're done. At the top, you'll see “X of Y done”, and once everything's ticked: “All done for today ✓”. The Routines tab is where you manage them – add, edit, archive.
How it works
“New routine” opens a short form: an icon (emoji), a name and the rhythm – daily, on certain weekdays, or a few times a week. Optionally, you assign a time of day (morning/midday/evening) – the Today tab then groups it accordingly. Every routine has a 7-day recap (the dots) and a streak with a record.
A few times a week – on certain days
With n× per week you set a weekly goal, for example “cycling once a week”. Without anything else, you can tick the routine off on any day. If you only want to see it on certain days, tap the weekdays below – say Fri, Sat and Sun for the weekend. The routine then only shows up on Today on those days. You need at least as many days as your weekly goal: 3× a week on just two days won't work.
Private, on purpose
Health is personal. Every routine is private by default – only you see it, not even admins. Want to share something (“Dad's going for a run”), switch it per routine to Specific people or Family. Parents can keep routines for their children; you choose who they're for at the top, under “For whom”.
Shared with you
If someone has shared a routine with you – or made it visible to the whole family – it shows up on your Today tab under Shared with you, with that person's picture and first name. You can tick it off for the day there and untick it again; they'll see that too. Only the person it belongs to can edit, archive or delete the routine. Shared routines don't count towards your own streak or your daily ring.
Catching up later
Forgot to tick something off? No problem. Use the arrows in the day bar to jump to an earlier day and catch up there. The streak counts it in full – no guilty conscience, no “caught up” stamp.
Good to know
Ticking off works offline too – as soon as you're back online, it's synced. patchio isn't a medical product and doesn't replace medical advice; it just helps you keep at it.
