Decline a task

What it's about
Someone assigned you a task, but you can't take it on. “Decline” hands it back instead of leaving it lying around. Whoever created it is told right away and can reassign it.
How it works
- Open the task that was assigned to you.
- Tap “Decline”. You only see this button on tasks assigned to you directly and created by someone else.
- Optionally add a comment (up to 300 characters), for example why it doesn't fit.
- Confirm with “Decline”.
What happens next:
- You are taken off the task.
- Whoever created the task gets a notification (bell and push) with your comment.
- The task history shows who declined and when.
Tasks with rotation or “first come, first served” don't have “Decline”. There you can skip the task or hand it back instead.
Notification for new assignments
When someone assigns you a task directly, you get the notification “New task for you” in the bell and as a push. You can turn it off under Profile → Notifications.
Example
You create “Take out the glass recycling” and assign it to your son. He gets the notification, but he has practice and declines with the comment “At sports until 19:00”. You see it in the bell and assign the task to your daughter instead. The task history shows that he declined.
