What it's about

Confirmation is the safety layer: a child ticks off a task, but a parent makes the tick final.

Why it's here

When points or duties are involved, it's worth a quick look to check a task really got done – especially for things like “tidy your room” or “finish your homework”. Without any check, there's an incentive to cut corners; with constant checking, it gets annoying. Confirmation is the practical middle ground: one click is enough, and points only flow after a look.

How it works

You turn on confirmation required when creating or editing a task. When the child marks it as done, it doesn't close straight away – it moves into the confirmation status, visible to the parents. Only with “Confirmed” does it move to the final done status and points get credited. With “Declined”, it goes back to open, with an optional comment for the child.

In practice

Your child ticks off “Tidy your room”. You check next time you walk past, see it's fine and confirm. The 10 points are credited. If the room still looked like a battlefield, you'd have declined – and your child would know there's still work to do.

Note: “Reject” reviews a completion – you send the tick back. “Decline” is something else: it's how someone hands back an assigned task (Decline a task).
