Making a vehicle bookable

In the vehicle, under “Bookable”, you'll find the switch “Make available as a bookable resource”. Turn it on, and the vehicle is available in the calendar as a resource – anyone allowed to see the vehicle can book it.

How to book

Create (or open) an event in the calendar and choose the vehicle under “Resources involved”. That's the booking for that period.

No double-booking

A vehicle can't be in two places at once: if your booking overlaps in time with an existing one, patchio rejects it. In the vehicle, under “Bookable”, you'll see the upcoming bookings.

Note: bookings work with single events. Repeating series can't (yet) be tied to a vehicle. If you withdraw bookability, upcoming bookings for the vehicle are cancelled (you're asked first).

When you can't flip the switch

The vehicle in the calendar is a resource – turning bookability on or off therefore needs, alongside the vehicle permission, the “Resources” permission too. Without it, patchio tells you, and the switch stays where it was. So it never shows “off” while the vehicle stays bookable in the calendar.
