Getting started
Signing in & signing up
What it's about
Your patchio account is the key to your family – set up once, and you're in sync on every device.
Why it's here
Family data doesn't belong in a spreadsheet everyone can see, or in a tool with no protection. So your calendar, your tasks and your contacts belong to you securely, and look the same on every device, you need your own account.
How it works
You sign up with your email address and a password of your choosing. Before your first sign-in, you confirm the email once, via the link we send you – after that, you're in for good. On every new device, email + password is enough; you stay signed in until you actively sign out. Forgotten it? “Reset password” sends you a fresh sign-in link by email.
On a Mac or Windows PC, you can also install patchio like an app of its own – with its own window and an icon in the Dock or taskbar. Here's how: Installing patchio on Mac and PC.
In practice
Set up your account on your laptop one morning, confirm the email in 10 seconds, and install patchio as an app on your iPhone that evening. Enter email and password once – and everything's there.
Signing in with Google
Instead of email + password, you can sign in or sign up with your Google account – one click on “Continue with Google”. Signing in with Google means you accept the terms of use and acknowledge the privacy policy. The first time, you then set up your household as usual afterwards.
Connected accounts
In your profile, under “Connected accounts”, you'll see your sign-in methods (email & password, Google) and can disconnect the Google link again. So you can't accidentally lock yourself out, disconnecting is only possible if a method remains afterwards – if you only ever signed up with Google, set a password first.
