What it's about
You turn points on per child – after that, completed tasks earn points the child can redeem for rewards.
Why it's here
Some children respond well to points and rewards, others just find it silly. Instead of turning the points system on or off for the whole family, you decide per child – to suit their age and personality. And because this is a blended family: points stay isolated per household, so a child's points in your household don't count in the other parent's household.
How it works
In the child's profile (for passive or active members), you turn on the points toggle. Once it's on, a points field appears when you create a task – the default value comes from the priority (low 2, normal 5, high 10), but you can set any value by hand. Completed tasks credit the points to the child's points balance. With confirmation required, the points only land once a parent has given the OK.
In practice
You turn points on for your eight-year-old, and leave them off for your fifteen-year-old – they find it a bit juvenile. From now on, the younger one collects points with every task they complete and can “cash in” a reward at the weekend.
