What it's about
Rewards are the catalogue that points get redeemed against – from extra screen time to an ice lolly.
Why it's here
Points with no goal are points with no point. For the system to hold up, you need clear rewards with clear prices – and a clean redemption flow that doesn't nag and can't be gamed. A child should know what they can get, and parents should keep control over when it's handed over.
How it works
You add rewards with a name, description, optional picture and a points price. Visible to children, redeemable via request: the child clicks “Redeem”, the points are put on hold – and a parent approves or declines. Only once approved are the points actually deducted. Rewards can be redeemable once or as often as you like.
In practice
You add “30 extra minutes of Switch” for 50 points and “Cinema with Dad” for 200 points. Your child has 65 points and requests the 30 minutes of Switch – you approve it on Saturday lunchtime. The points are deducted, and the Switch goes on.
