Emergency card
What it's about
The emergency card collects everything that matters in an emergency for each family member – blood group, allergies, medication, emergency contacts – and is ready to print and carry with you.
Why it's here
In an emergency, you're often in shock and still expected to give precise answers: “What does your child take regularly?”, “Any allergies?”, “Who should we contact?”. If that information is scattered across two apps and a scrap of paper, you're overwhelmed just when it counts. The emergency card brings it all together, structured, in one place – and prints as a clean PDF you can carry in your wallet or pin to the fridge. Because the data is especially sensitive, recording it requires explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9), logged with a timestamp in the audit trail.
How it works
For each family member, you record blood group, allergies, regular medication, medical conditions, and notes. You keep a sorted list of emergency contacts – other family members, directory contacts, or free-text entries. Before saving, you confirm the person's consent (or, as a parent or guardian, consent on the child's behalf). “Print” gives you a clean emergency card as a PDF, made to go in a wallet or up on the fridge.
In practice
You record for your child: blood group O+, penicillin allergy, a Ventolin inhaler for asthma. Emergency contacts: you (1), the other parent (2), grandparents (3), GP (4). You confirm consent as their parent. You print the card and tuck it into their school bag – it's there for the next school trip (Klassenfahrt).
